London restaurants

DH is going to London for two weeks in April for a bridging law course. I'm going to meet him for a weekend b/c his firm is paying for the hotel Chat Icon .

I've been to London lots of times but the last time was about 8 years ago when I was a student and sandwich shops were my only option for food.

Any restaurant recommendations? All price ranges welcome. We are looking for all kinds of restaurants, but in particular Indian and seafood and maybe fine dining. Also any fish and chip places!

TIA!

Love Thai, but we have been having it 3-4 times a week as we don't have any of our kitchen stuff yet. This week hopefully!

Any other places you can suggest?

You should ask Farah, she is in London living the glamorous life while I haven't left the house in three weeks!! I will send a shout out to my London FB friends to find out more! Don't forget the delights of the chains like Wagamamas (I could eat there everyday!) I will find out more for you!

Re: London restaurants

I went last year and stayed with locals who took us to some AMAZING restaurants all over the city that I would never have gone to had they not recommended them...

I have a quick review of each one here!

Have a great trip!!

MMM Wagamamas, I do miss them (we had them in Oz).

Thanks everyone! I've got a few weeks so keep the suggestions coming! So far what has been suggested looks yum! Chat Icon

Re: London restaurants

Hi! Just saw this Chat Icon

Where will you guys be staying?

I'm not a fan of Indian, but I've heard good things about Hot Stuff in Vauxhall -This website has links to reviews, etc.

Asakusa in Camden is great for sushi - website here

As for fine dining - Chez Bruce is probably still the best meal we've ever had in London. Not cheap, but pretty good value we thought. Especially since we've been to more expensive restaurants that we didnt' enjoy half as much (namely Tom Aikens recently) Chez Bruce website

Oh and another fine dining, this one pretty centrally located - Lindsay House

Hope that helps! Chat Icon FM me if you have any questions!

PS - I second Rules which was mentioned earlier and Wahaca in Covent Garden is good for Mexican (which London in general is NOT good for!)
