my first post here!
i want to introduce myself here because i really need to get myself in better shape. I had my dd 8.5 months ago and im in the worst shape of my life. I used to be very health conscious was at the gym at least 4 days a week. and was about 105 lbs soaking wet (im barely 5 foot tall and this was me my senior year of HS whish was 7 years ago) by the time i got married in 2008 i was in school and working and this is when i started to let myself go i went up to about 120 and stayed there till i got pregnant. my first trimester i lost 20lbs and i felt fantastic i know it sounds weird but i have always felt my absolute best (physically and emotionally ) any where between 100 and 105lbs this is where my dr would like me to stay as well. since im short 5lbs looks like 20lbs anyway since having my dd i have totally let myself go, i eat fast food which i NEVER used to because its convient, when im home i make quick easy meals not always the most heathly and i alost never have time for myself to work out. FORGET the gym because we cannot financially afford it.
I think i would really like to do WW my dh needs to diet with me he has gained the same as me and we are both at our worst. and i feel like the structure of it would really help motivate. How does it work is it practical with a baby? im just hving alot of issues with my self image lately and find myself more depressed then ever but yet i dont have the motivation i have avoided mirrors for the past 6 months and caught a glimps of myself today and just broke down crying, i think that was a breaking point for me that i NEED to change my ways.
sorry this is long if you made it this far bless your soul, I hope to be around here much more and look forward to chatting!

Re: my first post here!
Hi,
My DD is 10 months old. I'm also the heaviest I have ever been in my life. I still have about 15 lbs of baby weight left to lose. I'm doing ww online.
So far, it has been working, but very slow and steady. DH also has his pregnancy weight to lose, so he eats whatever dinner I make.
I'm a SAHM so it takes a bit of planning on my part to be successful. I usually plan what I'm going to eat for the day because it is too easy to pass through the kitchen and grab a snack.
I've also started walking everyday now that the weather is getting nicer.
Good luck!

I think the great thing about Weight Watchers is that you CAN eat regular foods, you just have to count your points and be accountable for what and how much you are eating. So yes, I think it may be very practical for you with the baby. If you are unable to make the meetings, you can also follow the program online, I have a friend who does this since she does not have the time to get to the meetings since she is always so busy with her little ones.

Re: my first post here!
Welcome! I also am at my heaviest. I have 9 lbs left to lose from the baby weight and then 15 to lose to where I was at my wedding day 3 years ago. I am currently on WW. I have been on it since Nov and have really only started to be successful, down 5 lbs the past 2 weeks for a total of 10.8 lbs. What started helping me was planning my day and then planning the meals for the week. I don't have a gym membership either but I did recently get a used treadmill from a friend. It has been great. I think now with the nicer weather too I will start to walk more. Good Luck!!!
