I am always seeing offers of free fill. People are often getting basements, pools, etc, dug, and have all this dirt that they don't want.

Re: clean fill

We found it off of craigslist. I know my husband got it really cheap from a place in Patchogue. (They run an excavating business, so they sell clean fill, boulders, etc..) I can look for the number if you interested.

ETA: I'll find out from my DH how much they charged. I'm thinking it was somewhere around 200 for 20 yards, but I could be mistaken. I don't believe they charged us for delivery despite being far away from their location.

Many of them do. I saw two posted in the last week that offered to deliver it. Free if you are close, nominal fee if you are further away.

Re: clean fill

yep this is what we want to do but their are minimums and i am trying to figure out how much we would need before getting the delivery.

the lowest is 15 yards i have seen and if its a 15 yard dumpster that might work.
