Monitoring
Ok, so today was my first day of monitoring. Nurse said she saw 2 follicles. however at this point can't tell which one will be prominate.
i just checked my voicemail & instructions were to come back on Friday for another sono & blood work.
my question, should me & DH BD until then? this cyle i'm NOT on any clomid & no injection. she wanted to try it natural due to my FSH being 15.
not sure when my IUI would be & in the instructions it said no intercourse 3 days before...
sorry if i sound confused

Re: Monitoring
What CD are you? Did they give you measurements of the follies?
3 days before IUI? Is there any male factor? Seems a little long, but I don't know your full situation and numbers. My doctor usually says 24-36hrs, but spermies is not our problem :/
If they are telling you to come back friday, I would think they are fairly still on th small side, I think 19 or 20 is considered mature. Either way you are safe to BD tonight.
I would call your doctor to clarify any questions you might have. Hope they find lots of big follies for you on Friday GOOD LUCK !!!!!!!!

i am on CD10. i don't think there any male factors. yeah thats why i hate voice mail system they don't leave a message until after 4:00 PM by then there is nobody in the office. i guess i can call tomorrow.
i was under the impression i had to go in every day from CD10-CD14. i'm not complaining about dragging my butt in for a 6:30 AM appointment. i'm just trying to figure out when the IUI would be DH has weird hours so just trying to give him a heads up. initially they thought it would be this coming weekend.
ugh.. so hard having a normal life.. hopefully it will all be worth it

Re: Monitoring
It will all be worth it! DH and I have opposite schedules and we have been making it work for over a year. We did IUI's last year and now are doing IVF. Good Luck

Re: Monitoring
Shoegal, Dont wait till 4 pm to call. I was calling into mine at 3 pm and there always the message there. This way you have an hour before the nurses leave to ask any questions.
Hope this helps.

Re: Monitoring
I used to check the VM around 3 as well and often my message was ready.
If they're not having u come back until Friday, it probably means that your follies r still small and they need a few more days to grow. Did u ask what size the follies are? If not, start doing so. Usually u O once the follies are around 20.

Re: Monitoring
Yup IF and TTC kills schedules. We had to cancel cycles because of inflexible schedules on both me & DH's side. Though, at times, I would get DH to "drop off" the sample with me certain mornings (he had to be at work at 6:30... when my office opened)
Do NOT BD at this point: 3 days is IDEAL for morphology/motility as well as sperm count... even without any issues with male factor. It give you the "best of the best." It's hard to say when 3 days will be, but if you are CD 10 and they are waiting to see the folicles grow... you may be doing IUI at CD 13 or 14. I would consistently be ready at CD 12 (you get to be a pro after a few cycles).

Re: Monitoring
There is nothing like a last minute IUI to throw your entire week into an uproar. DH works nights sometimes and our schedules are usually all over the place anyway. One of the most stressful parts of this whole process is scheduling all the appointments, monitoring, procedures, etc. Try to not let it get to you, and take it one day at a time, or it can get to be very overwhelming.
I am having a IUI Thursday morning, Dr. B told me to BD Wednesday morning. (like I said if there are NO sperm issues) Reason being there is a great chance to get pregnant the day BEFORE you ovulate. I would call your doctor and ask, only HE has the answers for your specific case. Hope this is your month!!!

Re: Monitoring
Thanks everyone!
i called yesterday at 3:30 PM & there was no message
i spoke to the Dr today regarding the results of my HSG. All is good on that end
she did say it was still small. she is thinking maybe saturday or sunday for an IUI. it is a big PITA when it comes to re-scheduling other appts. we are getting our taxes done saturday & will tough to re-scheudle. i guess we'll have to work around it...
thanks again!!
