Dinner Suggestion for a Crowd
DH's birthday is next week, and we're having the family over for dinner (12 in all).
I'm debating what to make, nothing too crazy but still good. We were thinking homemade pizza, but we make pizza all the time so I was trying to do something different. Any ideas?

I call it "mexican chicken"
chopped cook chicken (leftovers, rotissary, canned) black beans corn salsa
serve over rice maybe have some quac, hot sauce, hot peppers, shredded cheese as toppings ----------------------------------------------
You might have to double/triple this recipe for a large crowd depending on what else your serve
1 package Bulk sausage (or sausage links with the casing removed) about 6-8 links 1 can ~14 oz petite diced tomatoes 9 oz bag of baby spinach (fresh) about 4 ounces broth (chicken/beef) whole wheat penne - 1 box
Cook pasta brown sausage, add tomatoes to warm. check the fluid levels - add stock to make enough "sauce" for pasta add spinach to wilt, mix in pasta - serve w/ garlic bread

Re: Dinner Suggestion for a Crowd
I like pasta for a crowd.. giant pot of sauce with sausage, bracciole, meatballs and chops. You can do spaghetti with a salad, garlic bread and a nice tray of Italian cookies or brownies for dessert.
It's something you can prepare ahead too.. so you aren't spending the day behind the stove.
The last time I had a larger group for dinner I made Tuscan chicken, salad, Hayley's burnt broccoli and rice. It went over really well and it really didn't take that long.

baked ziti or lasagna---you can put it all together ahead and time and just stick it in the oven to cook it! Served with garlic bread and salad... Can also simmer a pot of sauce w/ meatballs or sausage
