Pricing for Hawaii and Bora Bora-??
Just talking about our 20th anniversary which will be in 3 years. Does anyone know how much it would cost to go to Hawaii or Bora Bora? Thanks :)

My DH's business partner went to Hawaii for about 10 days on his honeymoon and it was around 7 or 8 grand. I am not sure if that included extras such as drinks and such.

We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon in 2007. 12 days, three islands - 7-8K
There is no all inclusive in Hawaii, so you pay for all meals/drinks/excursions etc.

Re: Pricing for Hawaii and Bora Bora-??
We did Hawaii in summer 2004 for 10 days I believe 2 islands (Oahu and Maui) and I think we paid about $4.5K for air, hotel, car.
ETA A friend of mine did the Hawaii cruise and loved that. Not sure the price though

Re: Pricing for Hawaii and Bora Bora-??
We just got back from Hawaii. We only did Oahu which made it more affordable for us. You have to be on the lookout for deals.
I happened to be searching for airfare for "fun" and found roundtrip airfaire out of newark to honolulu for 480/pp. So we jumped on it!
We went for 8 days/7 nights.
We stayed 5 nights in Waikiki at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel. While not an extravagant hotel, we were pleasantly suprised with this hotel. We payed about 140 a night for an oceanview, and it included breakfast.
For our last 2 nights we stayed at Turtle Bay Resort and booked a Beach Cottage, which was also on sale, but still pricy. I believe we payed 350 a night here.
Airfare: About 1000 with trip insurance Aston Waikiki: About 700 Turtle Bay: About 800 after taxes
So just air and hotel came to about 2500.
A lot of the things we did on the island were inexpensive.
Diamond Head: We did a tour and I believe that was $26 a person.
Pearl Harbor: We took a cab there so we would get there early enough to beat the crowd. From Waikiki it was 50!! We took a bus back which was 2.50 a person.
We did everything at Pearl Harbor; Visit the Arizona, Missouri, the Bowfin Submarine, and the Pacific Aviation Museum. The package to see everything came to about 85 for both of us.
Polynesian Culture Center: We booked the 2nd cheapest package which included roundtrip transfers, and the whole day visiting the villages of the Polynesian Islands, a Luau dinner and a 90 minute show. I think we spent about 180 for both of us.
Sorry I rambled on!! LOL, but Hawaii can be as cheap or expensive as you want it to be

Re: Pricing for Hawaii and Bora Bora-??
we went to Hawaii in '04 with Cosmos tours, AMAZING TRIP!! We saw 4 islands, the tour company handles everything, yeah you have to go around (occasionally!) on a big tour bus with lots of people, but we didn't mind.
We did free airfare with points. The tour (19 days including inter-island flights) was $1500 each! Fabulous.

Re: Pricing for Hawaii and Bora Bora-??
If you're looking for some less expensive lodging options, check out VRBO.com for Hawaii...we booked a trip for next month and were able to negotiate with private owners for beach-front condos (~$100/nt).
But for a 20 yr anniversary you deserve every luxury, so you should splurge!!

Re: Pricing for Hawaii and Bora Bora-??
20 years! DEF BORA BORA!!! we went for our HM May 2008 - Moorea 5 days and BoraBora 5 days - 11k - we had overwater bungalows on both islands and we had the meal plan which is SOOOO worth it bc the food is out of this world
when we were in BB we heard A LOT of people booking much cheaper through LuxuryLink.com Check it out (theyre an auction type website but only Luxurious Hotels)
eta: we were debating between BB and hawaii... Hawaii - 2 islands Maui and Kaui I think it was around 6k for 12 days.
