the day we signed the contracts i started collecting boxes and started packing right away!!!!!!

Once we started looking, I packed all the items that we don't use on a Daily bases. We also had a attic full of stuff. It really saved a lot of time.

same here... we moved from a basement apartment & i really didnt think there was going to be THAT much to pack, but boy let me tell you.... THERE WAS! lol

From DH's apartment back into my co-op, about 3 weeks prior to the move.
Lots of stuff to pack, little energy to do so.

We starting packing things that we didn't use right away and about a week before closing we started packing everything else. But then our closing was postponed 2 weeks, which we found out the day we were supposed to close. so we had to unpack everything we needed just to repack it later so don't pack everything too early, or at least make sure you can still get to things if you may need them, until you have the pen in your hand its not certain when closing may be.

As soon as our home inspection passes this Sunday (fingers crossed), I am going to start packing. We will be closing May 7th, but have our lease until July 31st. We want to move in June 1st b/c  is due June 13th. I am going to start packing things we don't use everyday. All our winter clothes now that it is getting nicer, and anything in our storage unit.
