Freakin out
I finished my first round of clomid on day 9. today is day 11 and the past few days I've had bad ovarian pain. I have had cysts in the past and it feels the same way. Is this normal after/during clomid?

I believe Clomid can cause cysts, which is why it's so imnportant to be monitored while on it. Do you have a sono coming up? I know I have to go in on CD 12 when I start Clomid next cycle. If you think it's cysts I'd call the doc.

Im just being monitored by bloodwork. Im only seeing my ob gyn now. If the clomid doesnt work in 2-3 cycles Ill be going to the RE. I guess I should call by gyn tomorrow to let them know. They never said anything about monitoring with ultrasounds

Re: Freakin out
It's my understanding that (especially with clomid) you should be monitered with both bloodwork and ultrasounds so they can make sure you aren't hyperstimulating the ovaries (producing too many eggs) Also, if you have a cyst, and it bursts, that could cause a LOT of pain for you !
I would call your dr. in the morning and see what they say, but I would also mention that you "know someone" who mentioned being monitered with u/s as well.
Good luck !!

Re: Freakin out
I agree. Call your dr and ask for an ultrasound. My obgyn prescribed me a low dose (25 mg) of clomid for my LPD, only I haven't taken it, because last month my LP was a little longer. But when he gave me the script, I asked him if I could be monitored with u/s and he said of course, that's the way it should be done.

Re: Freakin out
Every Ob/Gyn has a different protocol, but from what I have read on here most Ob/Gyn's don't monitor with ultra sounds. It never hurts to ask! Especially if you are not feeling right.
