can some1 explain brisket to me
Yesterday I cooked a brisket in the crockpot follwoing a very simple recipe. The meat was tender and juicy but very salty for my taste. The veggies were ineddible.
I had a 3.5 lbs brisket and cooked it 3 hrs on low and 4 on high
SLOW COOKER BEEF BRISKET 2 large all-purpose potatoes, cut into 1-inch pieces 3 medium carrots, sliced 3 lb. boneless beef brisket 1 envelope Lipton® Recipe Secrets® Onion Soup Mix 1/2 cup water 4 Tbsp. tomato paste 1. In slow cooker, arrange potatoes and carrots. Place beef on top of vegetables. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over beef. 2. Cook covered on LOW 8 to 10 hours or HIGH 4 to 6 hours or until beef is tender. Serves: 8 Preparation Time: 10 Minute(s) Cook Time: 4 Hour(s)

That onion soup mix is really salty. You're better off using regular onions and seasoning seperately.
