BF mom who had mastsis before, Question

Did you feel like what ever schedule you did have with the baby was completely thrown off? I started with sore nipples last thursday and today I went to the doctor and have an infection in one of my breasts and the last few days I feel so lost. She put my on antibiotic and said I should feel better by tomorrow. How long did it take before it went back to normal?

I had 2 plugged ducts, but not mastsis..but boy was it painful and I couldn't stand the feeling of "full" in the area that couldn't drain. I had to take a needle to the plugged duct..not fun.
Hugs to you!!! The meds should work in a day or two, but you need to keep nursing or pumping to get the milk out and help get rid of the infection.

I've been pumping the infected breast and it deffinitly helps but I want my breat back, I cant even have him against my chest on that side like to burp him or just hold him.

if you still feel like this in another day call the doctor..warm compresses can help too.
