A stupendously silly question about shoes in Vegas!
I understand flats/sneakers are a must and will definitely be bringing them for exploring the strip. BUT, what happens if we are going to a restaurants that is not in the hotel we are staying at and we want to walk? Is it feasible to walk in heels on the strip, even if for 15-20 minutes?
I am an avid walker and I have no problems walking in heels at all, as I only buy shoes that are comfortable, heel or not. However, if the strip is covered in cobble stone that's a whole other story! Is it? What do you think? Please don't laugh at me...

No cobblestone, don't worry. If you don't want to walk, cabs are very easy to get in Vegas and the trams stop at a few different hotels so that is always an option too. You'll be fine!

Re: A stupendously silly question about shoes in Vegas!
We were just in Vegas two weeks ago. I wore sneakers during the day but at night i wore my 3 inch heels and that's when we would take the deuce bus.

I did not bring any "walking" shoes. We eithe stayed at the hotel (casino, pool, spa) or took a cab to go out.

Re: A stupendously silly question about shoes in Vegas!
I just came back from Vegas. I wore wedges or flip flops during the day for walking up and down the strip. However, at night I wore ridiculously high heels. They would be fine for dinner and drinks or going to the casino. But we went to clubs and danced all night (until 4am) and my feet were friggin killing me. One night I had to take them off and walk back to the hotel barefoot. Gross, maybe but a must!

If you can do it here you can do it there. Honestly at night we take cabs. So much easier!

You mean, it was warm enough for flip flops 2 weeks go? I am worried if it will be warm enough for flip flops and bathing suits next week...

Check out www.weather.com, they have forecasts that go out 10 days in the future so you can see what they're predicting for next week.

I always took flip flops in my bag in case my feet were killing by the end of dinner/show.

I take these with me whenever I'm wearing heels. They really do roll up tight and small
