Do you bring your own hairdryer when you are staying at a hotel
I always did b/c I was picky about hairdryers and some took forvever to dry my hair when it was very long. Now I just want to travel lighter. Can I expect a hairdryer to be available at most hotels in the US and Carribbean? Truthfully I never even took note of whether they provided one.

Re: Do you bring your own hairdryer when you are staying at a hotel
I always used to take one, so I knew my curly hair would dry. DH kept asking me why I brought it. So over the past few years, I haven't traveled with it and have been just fine.

I always just use the hotel's hairdryer. One less thing to pack!

Re: Do you bring your own hairdryer when you are staying at a hotel
I think many of the larger chains like Hyatt, Hilton, Intercontinental etc have them. I'm not sure places like Comfort suites etc do. Usually they list on the hotel amenities if they have them - but if you really need one I wouldn't rely on it.
Sometimes they are fine (like small travel ones) but sometimes they are just small ones on the wall. I usually just bring my own.

Re: Do you bring your own hairdryer when you are staying at a hotel
I have always brought a hair dryer to the hotels but lately I try to find out a head of time if they have their own hairdryers. If they do, I don't pack it, one less thing to bring but the ones in the hotel are never the same.
