Ordering from a plant catalog
Has anyone ordered plants from one of those catalog companies - like Gurney's, Michigan Bulb, Springhill?
How were the plants?
When were they delivered?
Are they much more expensive than going to your local nursery?
I'm new to all this! TIA!

Re: Ordering from a plant catalog
I think my husband ordered hedges from Spring Hill (or something like it). We had a choice of the height of the hedges (1 ft to 5 feet) and they were sent via fed ex. When they arrived my husband asked the guy where they all were because we had ordered 10. They arrived in small pots in one package. We put them in last fall but we ended up moving so they did not grow that much. They did come green and fresh though.

Re: Ordering from a plant catalog
We just ordered from MI bulb for the first time. A friend recommended them and the prices were great. Everything comes with a warantee for however long you have the plant, I figured it was worth a shot! I'll let you know!

I am trying to figure this out too, trying to see if worth purchasing a shade garden or just going to say cheap sams and buying the same thing?
