Finally making some progress!

So the Gonal-F shots are FINALLY working after nearly 20 days!!! Chat Icon
My RE told me that I am the most unpredictable ovulater that she has ever encountered... not sure how I feel about that! Chat Icon

I have 4 follies on their way to maturity.

Re: Finally making some progress!

i had a poor reaction to gonal-f as well. however i respond really quickly to follistim. supposedly they are chemically nearly identical other than brand name - but you may want to ask your doctor to switch next time you need it. for whatever reason it took me 21 days to stim with gonal-f (and i had to switch back to follistim in the end and thats what produced my follies) - with follistim i hyperstimmed in 6 days or so...go figure Chat Icon Chat Icon

good luck! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Oh wow, thank you - I will definitely bring that up! I was on a very low dosage at 37.5 and then 75 so maybe that's why it took so long. They were being VERY cautious bc they didn't want me to hyperstim. They just actually called me now after my blood test results came back and increased my dosage to 112.5. I'm going back Sunday so hopefully the increase will help my follies grow quicker and cause me to O sooner! Chat Icon

Thank you!! Good luck to you too!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

in my first injectable cycle with follistim i hyperstimmed on 150ius over the course of 8 days and that was mixed with femara.

so the next cycle for gonal-f i started on 37.5ius for the same length of time. did nothing. then added a few extra shots. still nothing. upped to 75ius - sloooow response. switched to 75ius of follistim, 3 days later ready to trigger!! in total though i stimmed for 21 days, with gonal-f every other day through until the last 3 which were all follistim.
