Bermuda?
DH and I are talking about going to Bermuda over the summer. Its a toss-up whether we'll take a cruise or fly.
Have you taken a cruise out of NY? How was it? Price range?
Where would you stay on the island? If meals were not included, where would you recommend eating? How do you get around?
TIA!!!

Re: Bermuda?
We went twice via cruise out of NY. Pricing varies of course - if you want a suite it's going to be $$$ but if you're ok with a plain old outside or inside its not bad.
When we looked into it (years ago) just flying to Bermuda was the same price as the cruise; and at least with the cruise you get sleeping arrangements, food, and some entertainment.

Re: Bermuda?
We did the cruise to Bermuda this past summer and had a great time! We really enjoyed ourselves. We went the first week of August and it was a big proce difference from the last week in July I believe.
It was a gift to us, so I'm not sure about exact pricing.

Re: Bermuda?
We did a Celebrity Cruise out of NY a few years ago. If you like cruises you will enjoy.
It was fun and the food was good, but I would rather time on the beach in Bermuda

We did the 7 day NCL Bermuda cruise in 2008. 2 adults, 2 children, inside room (VERY small), $3,500.

Re: Bermuda?
my ILs have done a Bermuda cruise 3 times now i think and love it!
DH and I went there for our HM and loved it as well! We stayed at the Fairmont Southampton. It's a bit on the more expensive side, but we loved it. I know the Fairmont Princess and Elbow Beach hotels are also very nice. There are no all inclusives on this island and food isn't cheap, but they do accept American dollars.
We took a schedule bus ride to and from the airport otherwise we used their bus system. You can buy tokens from your hotel, just know and pay attention to which bus line you are on. The island isn't very big and can take less than an hour to get from one side to the other. FYI the buses get more and more infrequent as the day goes on. I can't remember what time they actually stop though. We were there in October, so I don't know if that had anything to do with it, but stores started closing around 5pm and most restaurants in town were closed by 11pm. We wound up going back to our hotel for nightlife!
