Bringing PB&J on a plane?

Can I do this or is it not allowed? I can get thru security with food right, just not liquids? I am pretty sure they serve peanuts on southwest still, so I was thinking it would be fine. I am flying with my kids during dinner and this would be the easiest thing to bring with us.

TIA

I would bring it but be prepared in case someone on your plane is allergic- they can mandate that no nuts be served or eaten in the cabin

It should be fine. I fly all the time and have never been on a peanut free flight!

I brought PB and honey on whole wheat, DH had a PB&J. No trouble. I've never been on a peanut-free flight, and we fly several times a year.

It will be fine. If you're worried about peanut free, then you can ask a flight attendant if there's restrictions. I don't think I have ever been a non a peanut free flight due to allergies.. though idk if they announce that upfront or not.
