Storing Bisquick
I just took out a box of Bisquick (the big one from Costco) to make pancakes and I noticed on the box it said to refrigerate after opening to preserve freshness. The box has been sitting opened in my pantry for a couple of weeks now. Is it still good? I don't think I have ever refrigerated it before but I can't remember.

Re: Storing Bisquick
Honestly? I have never refrigerated Bisquick. I store it in an airtight container in my pantry. I haven't ever noticed a problem..

Re: Storing Bisquick
I buy the same box from Costco and never refrigerated it. Don't think my mom did either when I was younger.

Re: Storing Bisquick
Never did either - never even thought about this.
I think bisquick is just regular flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt mixed together. all these items are pantry items so I am surprised by this label.
I would just close it tightly in an airtight container or put a freezer bag over it. This prevents little bugs from getting in there and keeps it fresher.
