Who do I contact about this?
I live in Bellmore. On the street that connects to my street there is a nursing home. They're also building a LARGE extension on the nursing home, even though there isn't enough parking for what is currently there. For some reason, they allow parking on both sides of this street. It is ALWAYS full on both sides. The parking is starting to overflow onto my block. Only one car can get down the street at any given time, which wouldn't be a big deal, except that its the block that the whole neighborhood uses to get out because it connects to Jerusalem. I can't possibly understand how they even got a permit to build something so big, + the extension without the proper parking!
I'd like to complain about it to the town, but I'm not sure if I reach out to my councilperson, legislator, town supervisor, whomeever? I have no idea who to contact...anyone know?

Are you friendly with your neighbors? Have them use the same letter and then sign their names to it. I think if you make it easier for your neighbors they'd be more willing to help you fight.

ITA! you can even call news 12! lately they have been doing stories where they help people in situations like this
Neswday does an article every sunday as well where residents complain about things just like this and they help get it resolved.

Not really because I just moved here in July. I'm sure most of them feel the same way but I don't know how comfortable I am petitioning their signatures...
