Question for the experts
I'm being monitored by an RE for natural cycle ovulation. On Tuesday the bloodwork detected a surge, and the sonogram looked positive for ovulation just about to happen. I'm also taking my temperature every day, and I think my temperature rise was this morning... it seems weird that my blood would go up on Tuesday but the temps not until Saturday. Should I be concerned?

Re: Question for the experts
They say that you ovulate anywhere from 24-48 hours after you surge with 36 being the norm, I know that your temp rise happens after ovulation so I'm not sure why you would get it this morning you should have already ovulated the latest by this past Thursday-but I don't think you have anything to be concerned about. Good luck to you!!!!

Re: Question for the experts
It is normal to have a delayed temperature rise. It just means your body takes a little longer for the hormones to register and your temp to rise. I would go by the blood work and sono and say you probably ovulated early Thursday. You can always mention it to your dr next time you go in. At least now you know that when looking at your BBT chart, you probably didn't ovulate the day before the temp rise but a day or 2 before.
