Do you ever dust your plants? If so, how often?

Re: Plant owners
I give them a gentle shower once in a while, maybe two or three times a year. My peace lily more frequently because it likes the humidity.
Dusting the leaves will damage them too much, especially 'hairy' ones like african violets.
eta : it's good also when showering the plants to let the excess water run thru the pots and out the bottom. This flushes out salts and minerals that have built up and may burn the roots. Let the pots drain well, don't let the water sit in the saucer.

Re: Plant owners
the plants that have smooth leaves I take a damp cloth to them to remove and dust.
I like the shower trick though!
