Pet Insurance

Does anyone have this for their pet? I am looking into it and was wondering what company you have and if your happy. I would rather purchase it now while Lulu is still young. TIA

Re: Pet Insurance

We had Veterinary Pet Insurance for our dog buddy. I have to say I'm so grateful for it. Buddy was a sickly dog and got parvo, allergies, cysts on his feet, seizures, kennel cough, you name it he had it. Because of it I did not have to think about putting him down because I couldnt afford the bill. In the end we did have to put him down because his seizures were so bad he couldnt come out of them.

Just know they will not pay for 100% of the vet bill I want to say its like 30% of your total bill. If you have a pure breed they will have exclusions if the breed is prone to certain diseases and ailments. You will have to pay the full bill and they reimburse you in about a month. You will need to either mail in or fax claim forms.

Personally for me the insurance gave me peace of mind. If you have any questions feel free to FM me.

Re: Pet Insurance

We don't because our dog was too old when we got him and tried to get it so do it now while your pet is young.

Re: Pet Insurance

VPI is truly the best.
Look them up online.
For our cats they pay like 70 or 80 percent of the bill depending on what it is- you can also customize the coverage and elect or skip certain things.

It's well worth the piece of mind...

Re: Pet Insurance

I did not find it worth it and dropped it. If something cost $1000 and I was liable for $800 but I had paid $40 a month the whole year it just did not make any sense. Also I have a dal and her problems are breed specific and therefore mostly excluded like a pp mentioned.
