Re: appliances - whirlpool
my parents have had their whirlpool dishwasher and fridge for 15 years - not a single problem, not even a repair.
i think they still rate the same, i don't believe they have had any 'shake-ups' in how their stuff is made.

Re: appliances - whirlpool
I have whirlpool dishwasher and washer/dryer. I've had NO problems, and we've had them for 5 years or so...I would go for it! Save the $ where you can!

Re: appliances - whirlpool
We have a whirlpool washer/dryer, and are not happy with them at all. They are less than 3 years old (came with the house) and we are thinking about replacing them already. We actually had the Whirlpool repair guy out, who charged us $97 to tell us that we needed to spend another $400 to replace the motor on the washing machine. I know that people love Whirlpool, and maybe the previous owners didnt spend a lot on them so thats why we're having problems, but it has really put a bad taste in my mouth for Whirlpool, but I wont buy them again.
