How soon did you go for an HSG?

I have met with the RE twice so far. The first time he said he saw eggs and I would ovulate in the next week. Went back and I did ovulate.
So now when I get AF, I need to make an appointment for an HSG.
Is that too soon, should something else come before this?

Thanks! Chat Icon Chat Icon

HSG's have to be done at a certain timing.. Everything sounds correct for you. Good luck..

My HSG is next wed at 1 pm. Cant wait.. Its not my first time but i need one again. I dont remember it hurting at all. My bff said it did feel weird to her.

Its one of the first things that usually gets done. If you have blocked tubes then they can unblock them and that may solve your problem.

ITA with above.

SA and HSG are first steps to make sure there is nothing obvious...

I agree. I think I only saw my RE once before he ordered both of these for myself and DH.

Also, call on the first day of your AF so they make sure that you can get it in for an appt. I didn't realize at first and I had to wait another cycle because me reg OB office told me I could go anytime. I had no idea it had to be within a certain time frame.
Good Luck!

Re: How soon did you go for an HSG?

I had an HSG and my DH had an SA before we even started with the RE. So, no I don't think it is too soon at all. It will help your doc set up a plan that is right for you.
