CD 23 on a Provera cycle...spotiing AGAIN !
Took provera to bring on AF.....
Spotted day 13 & 14
CD 21 bloodwork shows no ovulation
Today is CD 23 and I am spotting (brown) again 
The OB wants to repeat the bloodwork
CD28 to check for ovulation again
None of this is making sense, and I don't see how they think I am going to ovulate this late in my cycle...
I have never spotted on Provera, let alone 2x in one cycle !
Anyone have any idea what the heck is going on here ?
(I have PCOS)

I was having the same issues, only worse....every other week I would get brown spotting. I finally got answers when I made an appointment with my RE. I have now been spot free...he put me back on metformin and upped the dosage and Ive been better.

How did I know you'd reply 
See, I got a script from my primary for the Met, was taking it a couple of weeks then started missing doses
( just by not being diligent with taking it)...When I went to the gyn. and he said he was going to do the Provera cycle- I stopped the Met....
Why ? I have no idea, I just did
I was never 100% sure I needed it, I asked the GP if he would put me on it for the pcos, and he just did...
The weird part is, I have never spotted after a Provera cycle...Just got AF and that was that...Something strange must be going on with my hormones 
Now they are telling me that if my CD28 b/w shows no ovulation, they want me to do the Provera again...
I don't want to do the Provera every month...Especially if we may TTC again..And then I'm reading that if you become pregnant ( if that miracle happened on its own  ) , that Provera is dangerous and can cause birth defects ....Ugh !!!

Honestly stacey, since you are considering the FET anyway...make an appointment for a consult with your RE. He will be able to put you on a "program" that will be easy to deal with if you were to do the FET. My OBGYN is great, but they wanted to to do the provera stuff and all that too, and it just didnt feel right to me.
They upped my metformin to 2000mg after they checked everything else out and it has really helped.
Oh and you should def do a dollar store test before starting provera if your dr doesnt do it first.
