Any other horse people out here?

I used to have my own a couple of years ago, but we had to put him down b/c he was sick. I also used to ride equation for the NCC team and I'm going to start up again in March with my old trainer...any other horse people out here??

Yes, I own 3 horses.

I competed for years (in NC, not on LI) in 3-day eventing. Now, I focus mainly on dressage and jumpers. I do some equitation, too, on my jumper.

My DH rides, too -- jumpers/eq.

ETA -- Who do you train with? Enjoy getting back into it.

I used to ride at Sweet Hills in Huntington bc that's where the NCC team rode, and I stuck with the trainer for the team...her name is Christine Harvey and she's at Parkview in C.I. My friend rode dressage at Country Farms for a while! I can't wait to start up again I miss it so much and it's great exercise!!!

Oh, I used to board over near Connetquot Park. If you have the opportunity to also ride in the park, do it! The park offers miles of manicured trails. I board at a larger barn in Huntington now, but definitely miss being closer to the park.
