I made a mistake...
I read and reread my directions and still messed up. Ive been doing the PIO shots... but I thought I read after RETRIEVAL that I should start the suppositories. Something made me go check again this evening and it said after TRANSFER...
Did I screw everything up? I googled and I cant find anything about HIGH progesterone having a negative impact on implantation. Only LOW progesterone.
Do you think Im OK?? I would hate for this whole cycle to be a bust bc my brain thought something that I did not read.
Starting to stress, and with ET tomorrow, and snow... I need to stay calm.

Re: I made a mistake...
Every doctor does things differently - which goes to show you that it is really their preference than what is absolutely best. Some people stay on the PIO shots for weeks while others only take the suppositories. Talk to your doctor and they could do b.w to see what your progesterone levels are like, if they are not as high as they would like, then they can always put you back on the shots. Don't stress!!!

Re: I made a mistake...
You can do either. I hate the suppositories, so when the nurse said I would start them I groaned out loud. She laughed and said I was allowed to do PIO shots if I was ok doing it for the first X amount of weeks of a preganancy (can't remember how long). Bottom line- it is totally ok. Tell your nurse and if you want to to suppositories instead you will switch right away and hopefully continue it through the begiining of your BFP!

I know its hard but I wouldn't worry about this mistake. The important thing is to support the progesterone level after transfer. Good Luck!
