Updated: It's here already! What does this mean exactly? "Approx. length from shoulder: 23"...
Where do I measure from?
I want a grey leather bomber jacket but I don't want a cropped one. I like the price of this one, but it looks super short on the model. Now I'm WAY shorter than a model, but I think it's odd that when I measure 23 inches from my shoulder down, it hits my mid hip... i'm not THAT short...

It looks like she has a long torso and you just might have a short torso.
It sounds like you measured it correctly. I just measured myself and it hits me an inch above my hip bone.
It's a cute jacket. Can you return it if you don't like it?

I think it means from the top of the shoulder, where the seam would be, so the meausring tape wil drape over half of your shoulder.
Does that make sense?

Yes, this makes sense. The fact that I'm using a metal ruler doesn't allow the drape..lol

Yes, this makes sense. The fact that I'm using a metal ruler doesn't allow the drape..lol
lol- yeah, that's not the best way to measure, but desperate times. . .I understand!

I am 5'5" and I used a fabric measuring tape and went over my bust.
What if you had a co-worker do it from your back do get a better idea?
Not sure if you have masking tape or string in the office, but I would measure out 23" from that then put that up against you.

It's here already! It's shorter than I wanted but it's not to bad. It's a smidge big but i guess that's better than being small :)
