fondant
My cousin and I are going to make a character cake for DS's bday with a fondant icing. Is it easier to use the Wilton one from Michaels or the one you make at home? She's only 10, so I want to use what's easier for her... I've never used fondant, but she has a ton of times, but this cake is more intricate. Thanks! I'm so excited to try it

Re: fondant
I would use the Wilton, or if you have a little extra money, Satin Ice. I've made it from scratch, and IMO, the premade is easier to work with.
