Atlantis - is it worth it?
So I saw the promo on tv for Atlantis - 4th night free and free companion airfare.
I went thru the booking, and even with the cheapest room, if you include food, it's still 2K for 4 nights.
Is it really worth it? I could go on a 7 day cruise for half of that...

Are you going as a couple? Are you going with kids? What tower would you be staying in? I hafta say we loved the Atlantis so much! The food was delish, the water parks r awesome but it really does get pricey b/c the food plan is additional not all inclusive.. I hafta say we got a great deal and we would totally go again-I think it was our fave vacation...

Re: Atlantis - is it worth it?
It was just for the 2 of us - in the cheapest room possible. (not even waterview, etc) I checked in August and September.
2,000 for 2 people for 4 nights when the airfare is half off an one night is free, just seems insane.
I bet they jacked up the prices to then make 'one night free'.

If you are thinking of going in Septemeber, keep looking around April--that was when we got our amazing deal and we even got to stay in the Royal Towers!!! I think we also paid around 2K but that was with royal towers, food, jetblue tickets, and tax.. 2K was our max and we kept checking and finally got it. I think they also do promotions where u get the dolphin thing for free, so def. keep checking back and sign up for their emails!!

Re: Atlantis - is it worth it?
We went in October, and we paid $750 for 3 nights, plus airfare. So it probably came out to about $1400? This was for the Coral towers, and they upgraded us to the Royal towers when we got there. I think we got such a good deal because it was hurricane season. Does your deal include food? Food at Atlantis can be really expensive. We had a blast and definitely want to go back, but for $2K not including food, I might think twice about Atlantis and do something else.

Re: Atlantis - is it worth it?
i think it's better for people w/kids bc there were a lot of kids there when we went-the pools were too crowded w/kids that we never went in
the food was really good IMO, the only thing to do at night was go to the casino--I didn't feel that they offered too much night life
i would only go back there when we have kids bc of the price of it, i would rather go to a sandals which is less money and IMO more to do

Re: Atlantis - is it worth it?
Thanks for the responses, but we decided to forget about Atlantis.
I just spec'ed a 5 night cruise on Royal to the Western Caribbean for 1,000. That's the 2 person total, including airfare.
Much better than 4 days at Atlantis for double the price.
