Disney Cruise
I won a disney cruise at work, and it's booked for March. We dont have children, and I am hearing mixed reviews from some of our friends. They are saying it's really geared toward families and children, some are saying we prob wont enjoy ourselves. Has anyone been on a Disney Cruise w/o kids? What was your experience like?

Re: Disney Cruise
I haven't but just know that there are adult only pools but no gambling. I think a free vacation would be fun. What ports are you going to?

Re: Disney Cruise
They don't have gambling but they do have adult only pools, spa and I think disco. I haven't been but have had friends who went pre-children and they all had great times! Their private island also has an adults only area. There is a specialty dining area as well that you can book.
Check out cruisecritic.com there is a lot of info on there. Also Disboards.com has a large area devoted to disney cruiseline.

Re: Disney Cruise
It's 2 days at any park in orlando, they will pay for admission and hotel and meals. Then the cruise leaves from Port Canaveral and I believe it goes to Castaway Cay and Nassau. We live in FL, and go to disney/epcot, etc whenever, so we are opting not to do that part (just take the cash instead) and just do the cruise.
Thanks, I will look into those sites. I dont think it can really be bad?? I think we are just gonna go and enjoy it.

I think a free vacation is a free vacation! You'll still have all the food, and in the ports you can go places that don't have as many children.

Re: Disney Cruise
I think your friends are jealous that they did not win the free trip. Go enjoy it. Look at it as a brief diversion from the norm. I would use the pool, eat new things, drink new things, have a massage and just relax.

Re: Disney Cruise
DH and I went by ourselves for my 30th birthday. We had a lot of fun! There is an adult only pool and excursions that are adult only. We did a rum tasting and cigar rolling in the Bahamas. That was a lot of fun! I think there was also a wine and cheese tasting. We got massages on Castaway Cay. There are also bars and clubs on the boat that are adult only.
We had a lot of fun and it wasn't all families and kids. I mean obviously they are around, but there are adult things you can do.

Re: Disney Cruise
A group of my friends went - no kids - and LOVED it. There was plenty for them to do, and they said it wasn't overrun by kids either.

Re: Disney Cruise
We are going on our 3rd one, in less than 2 weeks. There is a great adult pool area with a coffe bar and a regular bar. Palo is an adult only restaurant, and on Castaway Cay, their is Sernenity Bay which is an adult only beach. Depending on what time of year you are going their might not be that many kids on board
