green and gray

Ok, so I posted a few days ago about a red couch, but I can't get the exact fabric with the colour red I want. I just couldn't make it work.

So I've thought about the colours gray and green together.

Do you think a gray couch (a little bit lighter than a charcoal gray) and pale green walls go together?

Thanks for your help, I am a bit challenged in the decorating department.

ETA: post any pics if you have and if you can think of an accent colour that would be great.

I think gray, pale green or a grayish green and pops of yellow would look good together. Here are some inspiration pics:

Also a gray couch with slate blue and yellow accents:

This looks good too, it's like a taupe-y color on the walls with chocolate brown accents:

I LOVE this room!

Re: green and gray

Thank you very much!

The pics are really what I was looking for. Most of the pics aren't green walls and I haven't found any with green walls. I take that as a sign.

I don't think I will paint the walls pale green, but instead do a light gray and green accents. Does that sound good or is that too much grey?

Re: green and gray

i think if you go light on the walls and more stark on the furniture, you'll be fine....love the added bright green for color!

I think a pale gray would look awesome! Then just add pops of color in the rug, curtains and throw pillows.

I agree with CaMacho (Jess). Jess love all the inspiration pics you found. Chat Icon I would go with a pale gray on the walls....you might get sick of a pale green on the walls after a year or so. With the pale grey on the walls, you could do so much in the future with different colors. GL! Post pics when you room is done.Chat Icon

Re: green and gray

I found some pale green walls. Not with the gray though. Just thought you might want to see some pale green on walls.

JLdDolphin and Camacho always find such great inspiration pictures. I really do think you both have a natural gift for decorating and should pursue it. Chat Icon
I think grey walls might be better because you can change accessories and the look and might have more options than the green. Post pictures when you are done Chat Icon

Thanks all! I'll post pics in a few months when it is done. We literally have nothing and have to buy everything.
