I have seen this posted before. I recall gals saying that if another Dr/RE requests it, then there will be no charge. The charge comes when we ask for it. I expect I will have to pay to have a copy of my records. What can you do?

Well I asked the nurse after she gave me my Beta number and she prob felt bad for me...LOL Shes like oh no honey, we will just give them to you...im going to the specialist tomorrow...IM kinda excited to get a fresh look on all this with a new dr....

It is perfectly legal to have to pay for your records. And the highest amount they can charge is .75/page

IM not questioning weather it is legal or not...i just see it as petty and unprofessional IMO...its not like I need 100 papars, its about 5 copies...

It's frustrating but most doctors offices (not just RE's) do that. I think it's done as somewhat of a deterrent from people who may abuse the ability to easily obtain records. They'd probably have to employ a part-time employee just to fill all the requests if they always did it for free per request.
I'm glad you got your records so easily though and don't worry, you'll get there. One day you'll be a graduate of this board. I wasn't on this board for too long but I do check back now and then  for BFP's for all you ladies!

This is true..
It also costs them money (paper and someone's time) to make copies, whether it is five pages or five hundred pages.
