Re: Teeth Whitening

Yes I did it back when I got married.. it was horrible and I would never do it again.. because you have to do it yourself every night for like two weeks or more I don't remember, and if your teeth are sensitive like mine you stop doing it (what a waste of 500 that was).. I should had just done Bright smile for an hour and been done with it (it is still painful but at least you don't have to prolong the pain for more than a day).. I don't know why I listened to my hygienist.

Re: Teeth Whitening

I did it.

What a WASTE of $600.

It HURT soooo bad. My teeth were so sensitive after.

And they give you the trays to use at home...and I NEVER did. The pain was just too much to bare.

Re: Teeth Whitening

When I had asked my dentist he actually recommended doing the at-home treatments (ala Crest whitestrips) because doing them in office did not give that much better of results especially for the cost.

ITA!

I did try to use the trays once and they stung the way it did when I got them done

I used ZOOM!

They whitened my teeth but ya know what? Not enough to have to deal with zinging pain for weeks and even rarely MONTHS later--my teeth would have a zing and really hurt Chat Icon

Re: Teeth Whitening

I like the trays b/c if I am having a super sensitive day, I can skip the treatment or leave them in for a shorter amount of time. My dentist felt that the intensity of the pain with an in office procedure would not be pretty severe for me. My husband had an in office procedure and for some reason I got better results with trays. I think that for most people it is the other way around, though.

My dentist sells Opalescence he made a mold of my teeth then you fill the mold with the solution it comes out of little syringes..it worked really well and didn't hurt my teeth at all where crest strips killed me..it was only $175 and once you have the mold you can buy the refills on amazon!

Re: Teeth Whitening

I got Zoom done about 5 years ago and I loved it! My dentist was a jerk and never gave me the trays to keep up with it.

I recently discovered Arm & Hammer whitening booster--it goes over your toothpaste and my teeth have become seriously white again! I would give that a try--I got it from drugstore.com

Re: Teeth Whitening

I did the trays from my dentist a few years ago, but after a few days I couldn't handle them anymore—my teeth became way too sensitive and it was painful.

A few months ago I tried Crest White Strips Premium and loved it! I will use that from now on whenever I feel I need a little whitening.

Re: Teeth Whitening

I did the trays from the dentist and your teeth are sensitive. The results were great! It was a bit tedious to do and sometimes painful. I would do it at night for an hour and then go to bed. I would recommend it.
