What to wear at all inclusives??
We will be going to Excellence in Punta Cana in April.
During the day do you just wear your bathing suit and a cover up?
What is the dress code at night usually like? What do most people wear?
Sorry - this is kind of both Travel AND Fashion related!

Re: What to wear at all inclusives??
During the day we mostly wore bathing suits and a cover up whenever I walked around.
At night the men must have a collared shirt for the restaurants. We didn't know this. So DH had to but 2 shirts when we were there. He would wear these with shorts. I wore either capris, sundress or a skirt. And we both wore sandals to dinner.
Have fun! We stayed here 2 yrs ago.

Re: What to wear at all inclusives??
Most days I wore bathing suits and cover ups, unless we were going on an excursion. At night, I mostly wore sundresses and dressier sandals, meaning not flip flops. Some of the restaurants might require your DH to wear long pants and a collared shirt, with dress shoes.
ETA: I've never stayed at an Excellence resort though.

Re: What to wear at all inclusives??
You will live in your bathing suit and coverup during the day. If you are going on excursions, you'll want comfortable clothes for that. At night, all of the Excellence resorts have a dress code, more for the men than the women. You can pretty much wear anything. I lived in dresses (casual - nothing fancy) at night. Your DH will need collared shirts and usually long pants. The dress code isn't really enforced much, but people have been turned away for dinner. You can find the dress code on their website under each restaurant.
Oh, and for lunch the restaurants vary. You can go to The Grill or Lobster House in your bathing suit and coverup, but some of the other restaurants may require you to change.

def bathing suit and cover up during the day. At night I wore lots of skirts, summer dresses, etc. Nothing crazy fancy, but not too casual either. DH wore khakis, black pants and sometimes khaki shorts at night, depending on where we were eating that night.

Re: What to wear at all inclusives??
I just got back from DR.
I wore a lot of sun dresses and tank tops with shorts. I also brought some nice cocktail dresses for dinner. you don't need to dress up but there are a lot of europeans and they always seemed to look more dressy.
