Memory of a 2 yr old!

It's been 6 months since we've been to Disney World with Caiden. So when we went he was 22 months old, not even 2. Well, since then he will not stop talking about Disney and what he did there. It's everyday for 6 months! I am sooo amazed at how he remembers it. He had a lot of fun when we were there, so we are going again 6/8. We thought we would take him before the baby comes in September. I don't know how we'd be able to go again if it wasn't for my sister who works for them. Once again she got us a place to stay for free through her timeshare, free admission and parking and she paid for our plane tickets through Ding. I can't wait! I wish we were going longer! Chat Icon Caiden is all excited. He even talks about the plane ride. I can't wait to see him have fun!

Is anyone else amazed at what their child remembers? Before we went to Disney everyone told us what a waste of time it was to go because he was too little, and that he won't remember anything. Well, they were definitely wrong! Chat Icon

That is so funny! My mother tells this story about my brother- they went there before he was talking. When he started talking 6 months or so later he started talking about what they did there and what he saw.

That is great! I will never forget Disney either I was four.

Through the years you can refresh his memory with pictures. Disney is def. worth it.

Your story makes me think of that disney commercial where the mother is standing behind a baby in a stroller and there is her daughter standing next to her in an elevator and she is talking about the trip they took months ago. Someone comments how she remembers everything then she says how they refer to her little brother as a "souvenior" and everyone laughs. It was a cute commerical.

Im amazed by their memories too.

Joseph says "Remember when we were in our old house & you would put me in the corner when I misbehaved?" (He was put in when he was about 20 months twice. After Maddie was born, he hit her & said "I go in the corner." so we stopped doing it bc it obviously wasn't have the effect we needed).

Just yesterday my 3 1/2 yr old was mentioning things we did at Disney a year ago (exactly a year ago Chat Icon ) I was shocked at what he remembered also !

Id love to go this year, but will be wayy to far along to enjoy anything and dont wanna ruin it for them. we're going to hershey/dutch/crayola/sesame instead next month.

Just watching their eyes and their expressions and hearing what they have to say is amazing!

Re: Memory of a 2 yr old!

I'm just trying to take advantage of my sister working there while I can, because I don't think we'd ever be able to afford it otherwise.

I wanted to go to Sesame Place this year, but thought we should go to Disney and then maybe next year we'd go to Sesame Place.

The Friday before we leave for FLA I'm taking Caiden to see Sesame Street Live. I took him last year and he loved it, and I got discounted tickets so I figured why not! Chat Icon
