What are your typically go-to favs for an italian place?
Do you always get the same thing or do you try different things?

I like to try new things. I  Italian food. Also, I love when different palces put thier own spin on classics. Yum!

I try different things. Of course the following are old stand-bys if there's nothing else:
Chicken Parm
Eggplant Parm
Chicken Marsala
I tend to gravitate towards either chicken dishes with pesto, fresh mozz, roasted red peppers, etc. OR pasta dishes with sausage....LOVE sausage. Sometimes I like a good pasta primavera or a good pasta carbonara too.
I LOVE italian food!

I try the specialties normally. If there are none I will usually go for a chicken piccata.

if the place is known for fish, I will try something with fish and add clams and mussells.

i love to start with caprese and/or fried calamari
the italian place we go to here has the most delicious bolognese sauce over pasta, with a big dollop of mascarpone on top
