Restaurant Rec. in Smithtown/Hauppauge ?!?
So We recently moved to the area, and we haven't been out to eat that often. We plan to go to a movie at StonyBrook Lowes after dinner. Any recomendations of somewhere decent to eat nothing like CPK or cheesecake factory. Like sitdown not to fancy, casual. No sushie or chinese, thats all we ever eat out hahaha. Thank you !!!

There's a restaurant in the same shopping center as the Movie Theatre called Olio's. There are five different ones in the area all called something different........but its same menu/same owner. I've been to 3 of the locations and they are all good.
It's mainly Italian.....but nothing too fancy, very casual.........good food every time we've gone. Although the one by the theatre, I only been to once, and it was good :)

thats an option, I should have mentioned Italian is iffy because I usually get sick from it....which stinks because I LOVE IT ! I have stomach issues :(

If it helps, they have a ton of salads to choose from on the menu that are also very good. You can add chicken, shrimp or whatever. So, you really don't have to order Italian food, if you don't prefer it.
They have other options.

There is John Harvards-a brewery.
Bliss in Setauket is not too far-but a little more fancy.
