question for the knitters
if you block your knitting, what do you use?
did you buy "blocking" stuff or did you diy it?
i just made a shawl that i want to block, and i'm not sure what's worth the time/trouble to get it done.

Re: question for the knitters
I've done it myself using a damp towel and an iron, and I've also brought stuff to the dry cleaners to have it blocked. I dont generally like the way it comes out- it tends to flatten out after its been blocked. Unless I'm doing something wrong, but it came back the same way from the cleaners -not sure.

Re: question for the knitters
I lightly wet it, roll it in a towel and then arrange it on a drying rack and move it around until it dries. (If primarily make adult sweaters, if that makes a difference in the answer to your question.)
