Homeowners
I need a new insurance company for my homeowners because Allstate dropped us. I never had any claims and I have used them for my home since 2003 and my cars since 1995. ARGG!
Anyway, what companies are insuring in NY right now?

State Farm
State Farm will not write any new policies on Long Island. They've reached their quota and won't have openings again for about 6 months.
I called them for a quote in December and got one, and called back last week to have them issue the policy and they said, sorry, too late.  I called 3 different offices and got the same story.

My friend had allstate for years and was just dropped. She was told that she was randomly selected.
