Removing Panelling
We are re-doing our office (thank goodness!) and we need to remove old panelling. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

ITA because I just removed paneling in our new house...the ENTIRE FIRST FLOOR was paneling. YOu just have to pry it off slowly so you don't damage the walls underneath.

Re: Removing Panelling
hehehe we did this when we first moved in of course the walls are still the original colors underneath and now we are just getting to resheet rock them all.
Basically sometimes if they only used nails you will be lucky to just have to pull off gently, and skim coat. But for us it was glued on the seams and ripped when we pulled it off so we need to sheet rock.
How we pulled it off with a crow bar (2 different sizes: one long and thin and one small and thick) a pair of pliers to remove the nails since the hammer was damaging the sheet rock even further. And its pretty much get a bit off, work at it with out pushing through the wall then peeling it off.
