Gino's in Massapequa/Massapequa Park

Are they owned by the same people as the one in Bethpage? I was just curious b/c I called both asking if they use peanut oil/peanuts...the girl asked and came back and said yes, they did use peanut oil (at the Massapequa restaurant). But the one in Bethpage said no they didn't use it there. I thought if they were owned by the same people the pizza would be made the same way.

Not sure, but they use peanut oil in the pizza?? Just wondering because we get pizza there sometimes and I have a nut allergy.

I've never eaten there but when I called today to ask, the girl went and checked and came back and said they use peanut oil. That was the Massapequa one, the Bethpage one said no, they didn't.

ETA: I called the places to ask because my son has a peanut allergy (and some other nuts). Forgot to say that before!

From the little bit that I know...

As long as it is cooked properly, you can have it.
people with nut allergies are allowed peanut oil because it is cooked and it changes the 'chemistry' of the oil. My niece has a SEVERE allergy and she has eaten at 5Guys Burgers. They cook with peanut oil too. She has gone to Chinese food places and had problems because although they cook with it, they cross contaminate.

my husband is one of the owners there Chat Icon and yes in massapequa they do use it just for anything that is fried. the pizza, no. and bethpage is same owners, yes, with one partner being owner of just bethpage. i am not sure if they use it for frying anymore; i know they were going to switch but not sure if they did.
