Help with crib decison...

ok, it is our first child - so I am learning everything for the first time, I went crib shopping yesterday and I really like the convertible cribs, here are (2) one is 4 in 1 the other is 3 in 1, I think I like the one with the solid sides better mainly b/c the side comes down unlike the other. What is your opionion? Also, any downfalls with a convertible crib, I think it is good for us, because we don't have alot of storage space to store a crib, then a toddler bed when the baby gets bigger. Thanks all!

it is from BRU website - I don't even know if the store has it, it is also on target's website and baby depot.

If someone has the baby bargins book can you look it up for me? Storkcraft - aspen collection $369.00.

Thanks!

I like the 2nd one - the looks of it better, but it is an on -line item only at BRU and sears. It is made of wood and the veneer ? Is that bad as in poor quality?

Re: Help with crib decison...

Just a thought on something I read - with the solid head board and footboard it is very hard to get the bumpers on properly, and tight, since there aren't any spindles in the middle to tie them to. I'm not sure if you are planning on using bumpers, but it is worth a thought, that if you got this type of crib, it might limit you. Someone else who has this type of crib might be able to help you more.
