One year ago today...
I had to put my beautiful cat Persia to sleep. She was 17 and the most amazing cat in the world. I thought about her all day, noting the time we lost her and when we buried her in our yard. I still remember the drive to the vets office....she was wrapped in a towel on my lap and the sun was shining on her face...and I can't forget the horrible ride home holding the box that contained her body. It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I came home from work today and felt the little lock of her fur that I have in a keepsake box and broke down. I still miss her so much. I don't know why I'm writing this. I guess I just have to get it out. So many people don't understand. They think because it's only an animal that we shouldn't be so upset, but she was so much more to me than that. Thanks for listening.

I am so sorry for your loss Even though it was just a year ago, I know it must be just as hard. 
I have 2 cats who are my best friends, and I really do mean that. I can't imagine losing them.
I hope you can commemorate the rest of this sad day with happy memories of you and Persia!!  Can you post some pics?
