Bleeding

Last night was very scary.. I came home from work and had a little cramping and then some bleeding. I called my OB, she said to go to the OR for a sono. Luckily, there was still a heartbeat.They weren't sure why I was bleeding, but theu said it happens to some people. I am only 7 weeks preggo and it is so scary. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes, this happened to me. They said that I had left over blood from menstrating and from the placenta growing, it pushed the blood out. Your body will absorb the extra blood but sometimes it doesn't absorb it all. I was soooo scared also, but everything was OK. I am 12 weeks now and everything is OK. As long as your cervix was closed and the blood wasn't seeping into your placenta, which I'm sure they would have told you, then you should be fine.

I bled for two days or so when I was about 6 weeks, the dr said it happens sometimes and I have a healty baby boy

This happened to me a few times, and I was so worried, because I had a m/c, and Im having twins, I bled and kept going to the Dr.s office and they did sonos, but everything was fine.

Yes I bled in the beginning...so much so one night I had DH get me some pads and I thought this is it....but it stopped at around 9 weeks and everything has been fine since.

yes...i spotted in the beginning also.

i'm sure everything is fine.
