HOLY STATIC BATMAN!!
we have so much static in this house!! my kids walk around with their hair sticking up all over. it's kind of funny until you touch something and get shocked.
do any of you "do" anything about the static? should i get a humidifier? will it make the air cooler while i am running the heat (don't want that!)
any suggestions?

Water in the air will actually make it warmer in the winter.
It will also help to keep down some of the static.
In the summer, one way the AC keeps the room cooler, is by pulling moisture out of the air.

where would you put the humidifier, in the den, where we sit most, or in the dining / living room which is the most open part of the house?
