For the first time this winter...
I took my run indoors. Atlanta has been unseasonably cold....15 degrees at 7am with a wind chill of 3. I ran 14 in 18 degrees on Saturday and had a cough for a few days as a result. SO this morning I went on the mill. I varried the incline and ran a fast pace to make up for not being outside...but it still stinks...I hate this cold weather!!
How are you all managing the cold? I will be in NYC next week and will be definitely hitting Central Park no matter what the temps!

Its hard. I went running last night at 6:30pm and my toes were numb.
We can't afford a treadmill or gym membership so I just want to keep running outside. I would love to do the LI half marathon but I'm worried that this weather won't let me train for it.
But more than the cold it is the snow and ice that concerns me. I have to run in the evenings so I wear a reflective vest for car safety but its hard to see black ice!  I'm very scared of falling.....

I get home late from work so I have been hitting the gym and running on the treadmill (yuck)! Stinks but I do not like running outside when it is under 35 degrees. I just hope February is not as cold as this January!

It's crazy that Atlanta is colder than NY...my friend I'm running with in March mentioned the temps and I couldn't believe it!
I've been trying to beat sunset and staying outside...but I had the last week off, so I was able to be more flexible with timing...I can't wait until the days get noticably longer

I've been running on the treadmill and I hate it I run in the mornings before work so it is too dark and cold. I was trying to run outside on the weekends but it's been too cold for me the last few weeks.

I run early in the morning, when it's still dark with a friend. It's been bitter but we've been just bundling up and doing the best we can to stick with it.
