Easy Recipes
Since we are in a temporary apartment for 2 months and all my kitchen stuff gets delivered in 2 months, I need some easy recipes.
To give you an idea of what I have:
Some knives Two saute pans (large-ish and small) One really, really small casserole pan (like 8 inches by 4 inches; I made a small lasagne last night) One cutting board Two medium sized pots
NO food processors or mixers .
I am also limited with food at the moment . Pork products, which we don't eat, are really popular here (Germany) and I can't seem to find quality red meat here. Hopefully soon. However there is a lot poultry.
I am considering getting one of those Le Creuset pans because I don't have one of them.
So any easy veg / poultry recipes you have please throw my way!
Thanks!

Re: Easy Recipes
If you can get a dutch oven type of pan you can make a nice roasted chicken in it. that will also make a nice soup/stew in it. I love my Dutch oven....so versitile.
Can you get chopped meat? How about chili? thats pretty easy. or soups go a long way.
I will see if I can dig up some easy soup recipes for you if your are interested

Re: Easy Recipes
We only eat chopped turkey or chicken. I know we are so picky.
I can do soups, so long as it doesn't need a blender at the end!
Thanks!

Re: Easy Recipes
in a decent sized soup pan saute diced chicken. add minced onion and garlic, saute until fragrant and translucent add chopped celery and carrots. throw in a bay leaf. add 32 oz chicken stock. boil.
separately, cook a package of tortellini. drain and spoon into soup or pasta bowl. ladel soup on top. serve with crusty bread.
you can pan fry virtually any fish with garlic..then hit off with some fresh lemon and butter. serve with mashed potatoes and sauteed spinach (olive oil, garlic, parmiggiano)- I am doing this with salmon tomorrow.

Re: Easy Recipes
Thank you, I'll try the chicken recipe this week. I have to scope out the chicken stock here. Last I remembered they only had bouillon.
