Insurance & Blood Work done by your Specialist??

Hey Girls!

I just had a stupid question about insurance. I had met with Dr B. on Tues and he gave me scripts to go to Quest for several tests like the Thrombophilia Test, CDS/ FSH test, and Genetic Testing.

I called my insurance and the will not tell me what is covered untill I get all Procedure Codes & diasgnosis Codes.

Did Anyont else have to do this? I just emailed Dr B's office to request all of these codes. I just do not want to be that annoying patients requesting all these code...(espec since one test is for like 40 things). DID anyone else have to do this and is this normal????

I just want to make sure It's ok to request all of these codes from the Dr's office.

Haven't had to do this and I have not gone to Dr B. However, it seems from all the praise he gets on this site that he makes anything happen for his patients... I wouldn't worry about calling his office for this because it is info you need.

i havent had to do this with dr. b's office at all. they have taken care of everything for me, and i have weird insurance issues too.

they usually tell me to call gail at the nyc office when i have any issues, im surprised that you havent been dealing with her at all. she's great.
