First steps to sell house ..
We would REALLY love to sell our house but are clueless in what to do first. How do we go about finding out what it may be worth..would i go to a REA or call an appraiser on my own?

A real estate agent will come over for free...an appraiser is going to charge you
You should call 3 local realtors and have them give you there opinion of what they can sell the house for and how they would market it
They should come with comps of recently sold properties to support the price
Just b/c one tells you a higher price doesn't mean they are the better chioce...the market needs to support that price or your house isn't going to sell

we had 3-4 agents over before we listed with one of them, none gave us any ideas on things we should change or update. i did things on my own - thngs i've seen on tv.

Yea I was getting some good ideas from HGTV but now thats over
