broken nail?

I took Bella to the dog park today and when we got home I noticed she kept licking her hind paw, so I washed off all the dirt and one of her nails looked like it might have broke because I see a little red thing coming out of where the tip is supposed to be. She's not limping or anything when she walks and she let me clean it, but is there anything else I should do? She won't stop licking it.

Sounds like the quick - the blood supply of the nail. I'd call the vet. I don't know if they can get infected or whatnot...
